Historic Properties Map

Memphis Heritage is proud to make available to the community a map listing historic/important properties in and around Memphis and Shelby County.

Important properties are those that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, those that are eligible for a National Register listing, and those that are not eligible for a National Register listing but have been deemed important to our area’s history. Data was taken from the historic resources database within the latest draft of the Memphis Preservation Plan.

The sites that currently have pictures attached are listed on the National Register, and you can click on those sites to be taken to our Historic Properties Catalogue, where you can find more information about each of those sites. There are also some locations that are not on the National Register themselves but are located inside certain historic districts in Shelby County. You can also click on these sites to learn more about the historic district.

This information is changing constantly, and we will do our best to keep the map up to date.
