The Fountain Court Historic District was placed on the National Register on Dec. 17, 1998.

History: The Fountain Court Historic District is a neighborhood of 28 principal buildings, a unique local example of a “court” style subdivision plan. Its planner was Dudley Weaver, and the design is clearly compatible with the goals of the contemporaneous City Beautiful Movement and of park designer George Kessler.
