The Greenstone Apartments were placed on the National Register on May 14, 1980.

History: Originally the site of the George Arnold residence, the Greenstone Apartments were built using materials from the Arnold mansion. Designed by the architect of the Memphis Pink Palace, Hubert T. McGee, the mansion’s original iconic green stones (likely imported from Ireland), the staircase, and other trim work were reused. The three buildings comprising the complex have now been converted to condominiums.
