FfOR - Action

Too often we don't like things that are going on in our communities but we think our action is futile effort.  In the words of the famous anthropologist, Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world: indeed it's the only thing that ever has!"   Let your voice be heard!

WRITE A LETTER
 
Please write to the Council TODAY and voice your opinion against the RDC plan. Tell them that our riverfront can be enhanced by walkways, trees, and more public amenities, but its ownership should not be sacrificed for the benefit of private developers.   For a list of City Council members and how you can determine your representative visit:   http://www.friendsforourriverfront.org/help.html

and download an informative brochure outlining the issues and purposes of FfOR for saving our riverfront from inappropriate commercial development.
This brochure can be viewed as well as printed out on your own computer to be photocopied and handedout to your friends, family and neighbors.  Remember to drop some off at your favorite store, coffee shop, or library. Don't forget to take more with you to your next meeting: PTA, garden club, runners group -- no group is too small or too large to speak out for what the citizens of Memphis want -- a better plan for our
