OUR MISSION

To educate and coordinate individuals and groups to save, improve, reuse, and maintain architecturally and historically significant buildings, open spaces, streets, neighborhoods, parks, and cultural artifacts of Shelby County, Tennessee.

Memphis Heritage, Inc.
was founded in 1975 as a non-profit educational and charitable organization. Since 1975, we have been the voice for the preservation of the Memphis area's architectural heritage. From our efforts to save the Napoleon Hill mansion on Union Avenue to our efforts today encompassing all of Shelby County, Memphis Heritage  keeps working to preserve our area's rich history.  Read further about some of our accomplishments....
